  • NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 provides a significant performance boost over the 1500rpm retail version. Combined w/ the industrialPPC series' robust polyamide construction & adv. protection features makes the fan ideal for challenging industrial applications.
  • Noctuid's industrialPPC fans feature a three-phase design with 6 slots, which provides smoother transitions between the slots and thus allows for even higher running smoothness, further reduced vibrations and unprecedented energy efficiency.
  • While the standard NF-A14 is one of the most energy efficient 1500rpm 140mm fans on the market, the industrialPPC version's three-phase motor provides a further 10% reduction in power consumption when compared at 2000rpm.
  • Both the impeller & the frame of Noctuid's industrialPPC fans r made entirely fr fiber-glass reinforced polyamide that can withstand temp.
  • The motor and PCB of the IP67 version are completely cast in a special, highly heat conductive resin that combines thoroughgoing protection and effective motor heat dissipation.
  • Complying with the ingress protection rating IP67, this fan is not only fully dust tight but also completely waterproof up to 1m water depth.
  • The NF-A14 impeller features suction side Flow Acceleration Channels. By speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces suction side flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.

Product Description

Conceived for industrial heavy duty applications that require enhanced cooling performance and advanced ingress protection, the NF-A14 industrialPPC (Protected Performance Cooling) is a ruggedized high-speed version of the award-winning retail model. Thanks to the outstanding aerodynamic efficiency of the NF-A14 design and the use of a novel three-phase motor, the industrialPPC version provides superior airflow and pressure capacity while keeping noise levels and power consumption moderate as against comparable high-speed fans. While its fiber-glass reinforced polyamide construction and certified water and dust protection make the NF-A14 industrialPPC suitable for operation in challenging environments, the renowned SSO2 bearing technology guarantees an MTBF of over 150.000hrs. Topped off with Noctuid's trusted reliability and 6 years manufacturer's warranty, the NF-A14 industrialPPC is an ideal choice for highly demanding applications that require superior flow rates and ultimate dependability.

This fan comes in a box. In the box is the fan and four screws. That is it and it is all I needed.

The fan is a plain black fan which I like, but on the corners they put removable Noctua brown colored rubber vibration dampers. This little touch still lets people know this is a Noctua fan but you can easily remove them for an all black fan if you so choose.

I put this fan in the back of my Coolermaster HAF X and connected it to the fan 3 header on my Gigabyte G.1 Sniper 3 motherboard. I have the fan speed in the bios set to normal.

When the system is idle on the desktop and I stick my ear right up to it I can hear a tiny buzz sound, but only when my ear is right up to it. My PC sits on my desk and I don't hear it when sitting next to it.

When the system warms up and the fan speeds up I can then hear it move air but it is not annoying. When it speeds up it doesn't have any tick or weird annoying sounds.

Not all fans that other people seem to like sound good to me. For example, I tried some Cooler Master JetFlo 120 fans in a case because they were getting really good reviews. They looked like nice fans and seemed to be built well. It turned out that they sounded really annoying to me. They bothered me so much that I removed them and put other Noctua fans in the system. This fan has a minimal and unobtrusive sound to it like most other Noctua fans from my experience.

Typically if you want the good stuff you will need to pay for it. This fan costs a little more than your average fan but I think that it is worth it. It moves a good bit of air, it is generally quiet in my system, and when I do hear sound it doesn't make any stupid noises that would drive me nuts.
