we received one of these for my daughter at her birth and by age 3 mos it had become her security blanket. so at about 6 mos my wife said we should find another for a backup. they are very durable, and the "clothing" is a satin lined blanket, which so many babies carry around forever. my daughter loves to look and smile at the doll's face and pull the curly hair sewn in under the night cap, which is amazingly anchored. i actually ordered the matching rattle and regular doll with the same face. she loves them all. great product and great price.
