1.0 out of 5 stars Trash Mode
I can not believe someone with his lyrical talent would put out such a GARBAGE album. When I here Beast Mode, I think of hardcore, no limits, ruthless, ect.... This album has none of that. Plus WTF is up with only 11 tracks? Im one of the biggest fans of Juvenile from back when he put out Solja Rags. I really really miss the years (1995-2004) when rap was the s**t. Now we...

Much respect to Juvie but PLEASE DO ALOT BETTER THEN THIS!!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars MORE OF A MIXTAPE THAN ALBUM, July 15, 2010
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
I agree with most of the past comments. This newest album was far from his best considering the recent Cocky and Confident. He showed his a$$ on that album. This album, C'mon Son!!!!! Seem too rushed to me. But as a true fan, I had to get the album. I feel he needs to go back to his '97 "Money on the Couch" and mix with the '09 "Gotta Get It". Will the boy make another Sojla Rags or 400 Degreez? With time taken, yes it can happen. Side note: Juvy Jr. is gonna be a problem. His verses stood out to me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Juvenile Tried Us..., July 7, 2010
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
Having been a long time Juvenile fan since his Solja Rag days I can definitively say that he has seen better days. In my opinion this is one of his weaker efforts (probably the weakest) and that's a shame too after the goodness that was Cocky & Confident. On Beast Mode the beats are bland and Juvenile sounds completely uninspired. The album literally feels like an album made only to fulfill contractual obligations. There's a few songs worth listening to like Drop That Azz, P. Kat, and No Team but there's nothing classic here and there's a lot of skip worthy material.

I'm upset at myself for buying this album on good faith. What happened was I had the Big Boi album but didn't want to use the card for 10 dollars so I went ahead and picked this up in addition to warrant the use of the card. Mistake. I still like Juvenile but he should take his time on the next album and deliver a product worth hearing. Another album like this and he might as well hang it up. 1.5 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Juvenile back for the second time in a year., July 6, 2010
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
This Cd is very short with only 11 tracks. It seems as if Juvenile is being selfish and trying to go very low budget as he has no known guest on the album. Only guest are his son(???) and some singer guy (Unknown). It has it's high points but even the best tracks aren't that great just better compared to others. The worst tracks to me are "Drinks On Me" (Feat. Cape)
This Cape guy sounds like he wishes he was Plies and that is just bad b/c Plies sucks and this guy sucks worse, the song is very repetitive and annoying. If you get past that track without killing yourself you can suffer threw the next track "Pussy Kat" Which is a total knockoff of the Ying Yang twins "whisper song" almost the same beat and yes they whisper at times WACK!!!! but the rest of the album is pretty good. so out of 11 tracks I find 4 are good 5 are ok and 2 are just all out wack!
But I had to go out and support Juvenile and buy this cd b/c I have all of his albums and I am a fan since before he had a deal b/c I'm from New Orleans. So if your a fan like me pick it up if your not you will want to use it as a coaster.

1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING: Do Not Waste Your Money, December 30, 2011
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
The problem with this album? It's not Juvenile, simple as that. Utter garbage, more like he's in weak mode, I wish I could give it NO STARS! The beats sound like an awful attempt at radio aka "commercial" rap. Terrible adlibs and effects, doesn't resemble the original "Juve the Great" at all. Lyricism is poor, and he sounds like someone either beat him into recording the song or like he just woke up and said, "hey i'm bored, I guess i'll record." The very short tracklisting itself should be a clear warning to stay away from this release if not the track names; I'm Da Man, Nothing Like Me, B**** Instructions. Yea, he went from cocky & confident, to straight ridiculous and conceited. I hope Juve hasn't lost it because I like 1 song on the whole album. If you're trying to "collect 'em all" go download this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Biting the Drake cover, September 17, 2010
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
Music on this is just as unoriginal as the cover. Juvie has always been only as good as whatever producer was carrying him, and he doesn't have much to cover for him here. Probably just hoping to throw this out fast with a cover very similar to Drake's, and hoping to confuse some of Drake's pre-teen fanbase into picking this up by accident.

3.0 out of 5 stars Still good Juve, July 8, 2010
By
This review is from: Beast Mode (Audio CD)
Beast Mode is not one of Juvenile's best efforts and it is not near as good as last years Cocky and Confident (which to me is one of Juve's best album's.) But there is still plenty of good tracks on here. I am glad I bought this and I will continue to support all of Juvenile's future projects because I am a true fan of his. Like I said, this does not compare to last years Cocky and Confident, but it is still good Juvenile and worth checking out.
