Okay, so I did grow up with G1 and G2, but Beast Wars was the first real line I got into, and considering my biggest complaint with the early Transformers was their lack of poseability; BW was pretty much a dream come true. The joints were either ball-socket, or multi-directional in their orientation.

This was countered however, by the fact that the smaller figures ended up with the majority of their "beast mode" being a shell on their back while the bigger ones had spare limbs and hide hanging off their body in random areas.

Lio-Convoy is no exception here. THe poseability's good, the look's great, but he's still hindered (mainly in his upper body area) by beast mode parts; namely his lion forelegs and mane fragments on the forearms and his tail area and head forming "shoulder armor" of some sort. The lion head placement is something of a pain as it heavily restricts arm movement, but thankfully, the figure's engineered in such a way that hte oversized mane and snout don't overbalance him. Furthermore; the size is great. He stands (in robot mode) roughly as high as the original Optimus Primal.

Personally; I loeave purchase of this fugure up to others and can't really reccomend it one way or another. It's not your thing if you want high degrees of unrestricted poseability, but if your'e out to collect all the cats in Beast Wars, or all the Convoy/Primal figures (as I was) he's a good one to get.
