He is big. When he's in dragon mode he gives Unicron something to think about. He is ugly. In tank mode he looks bizarre. He is bad. Just read the back of his Universe version. As my #8 Transformer, he sure is awesome.

Japanese Beast Wars Galvatron is an awesome toy. All my American Beast Wars figures wet themselves when on the shelf next to Galvy here. Yeah, the Japanese instructions take some getting used to- he's got a fairly complex (but not too difficult) transformation, but it's very satisfying. He's got three modes- Robot, Dragon, and in-between kind of dragon-tank thing. He looks great in any of the modes. My fav is robot mode, though. He looks extremely tough and menacing. Dragon mode looks sleek and mighty, too. I got this at a comic-con for about $50, and am not disappointed. One of my fav transformers of all time, Beast Wars or otherwise. He even edges out alot of G1 toys as my favorite.

one of the best transformers, December 30, 2007

My son (age 5) absolutely loves transformers. I've found that most of them fall apart and are just frustrating. This one does not fall apart and can transform into three things. The downfall is it's from Japan so the instructions are in Japanese! But if you can look at the pictures and figure it out, it's a good one to get.
