This collection of comics isn't the best of Bongo comics but it's not bad either. The stories all generally contain at least one or two laughs and in general it's worth your time to read it if you are a Simpsons fan. This collection features the following stories:
BATTER UP BART: Professor Frink is enlisted as the coach of Springfield's Little League team (Go Lil 'Topes!!) and uses his mastery of science to propel the team to the championship. But what happens when the opposing team is coached by Frink's arch-rival, Dr. Colossus!? THE THREE STAGES OF TEACHING: Lisa learns firsthand what teaching is like when she takes over a class for Miss Hoover. CUFF IT UP! Bart and Nelson and the rest of the class visit the Springfield Historical Society in this spoof of THE DEFIANT ONES. FINAL DETENTION: Groundskeeper Willie suffers a serious paper cut while trying to save Bart and Lisa in this parody of THE FINAL DESTINATION. BART BURGER: Bart finds a way to control the microphone in the Krusty Burger Drive-Thru clown head. BAIT AND CACKLE: Homer tries to bond with Bart by taking him on a Father-Son fishing trip. BIRTH OF A SALESMAN: Bart, Milhouse and Nelson compete to raise funds for the school. BART VS THE ONE-MAN SCHOOL: Skinner bribes Bart to get him to behave during a Federal school inspection. THE SICK DAY: Bart offers his pointers on faking an illness in order to stay home from school. SPECIAL DELIVERY: The Simpsons win a surprise package but can't get the box open! KWIK-E-BART: When Apu is accidently locked in his beer cooler Bart temporarily takes over the Kwik-E-Mart. GRANDPA BART: Bart takes a field trip with Grandpa Simpson and decides he really enjoys the "senior" lifestyle. FLU SHOT: Bart struggles to avoid getting a flu shot. BART'S GOT SPIRIT! We learn quite a bit about Assistant Superintendent Leopold when he coaches Bart as a member of the cheerleading squad. NELSON MUNTZ'S GUIDE TO GROWN UP NERDS: Nelson reviews the various types of grown up nerds inhabiting Springfield. This is one of the funniest stories. THE KISS OF THE BLECCCH! Bart gets more than he bargained for when he plays Spin the Bottle with Sherri and Terri. THE MAGGIE AND MOE MYSTERIES: It's pretty much what it sounds like, Maggie and Moe get together to solve a mystery.
