My mother is disabled and she is using wheelchair. I purchased the product and brought it overseas for my mom. It has been a huge help and now it is very easy to transfer her from bed to wheelchair. I wish we knew about this board way earlier. Me and my mother recommend everybody to use it for easy transfer. Having patient transfer belt whilst transfering the patient would be even easier. Thanks to the manufacturers!!!

I've got a disabled Mom who can't sit up on her own. The beasy board seems like a better and easier solution to a regular sliding board, but you need lots of practice and 2 people if the person you're helping is heavier or taller than you. You have to make sure you follow all the steps like the placement of the board, the positioning of the board, down to the sliding of the patient. One miss step, and you've got a patient crashing into you or onto the floor. I ended up getting the beasy glider after this because the 40" board got in the way of my Mom's wheelchair seat. They should give you all the dimensions of the board not just the length so you can see if it works before you buy it. These boards are non-returnable, and if you can call the company if you have any questions before buying.

There are two reasons for my score of 3 for this product: (1) The concept of transferring a patient from bed to a wheelchair and VV is a great idea. The problem,in my opinion with the board is that it is designed for patients who are cognizant or understand the commands of the nurse or caregiver. Let me explain this: When a patient is transferred it requires that patient be fully cooperative with the nurse or caregiver instructions, that is once the patient is placed on top of board disk to be moved without lifting, the patient must embrace or grab or hug the nurse to do the move. If the patient does not do it, he(she) may lean back disengaging from the nurse and potentially may fall to the floor. For this situation you may need two caregivers for the transfer, and not one.
Also, if you intend to do the transfer from a wheelchair to the seat of a car with this kind of patient, you may need 3 people. Not an effective solution with this kind of patients.Otherwise, the board is excellent for the other types of patients who follow commands from the nurse
(2)Board has a sliding disk where patient sits. In my purchase disk thread was worn out. This is very dangerous during transfer for patient safety. I appreciated very my discussions with board mfgr who gladly sent me a new disk plus DVD. This was a very nice gesture

The Beazy Board is everything it promised, and more! It is lightweight, sturdy, durable, and well designed for transferring heavy people with mobility problems. The 40-inch length is perfect for transfers into the car, recliner, and shower, where distance and seat height difference make it difficult to get the wheelchair close enough to "scoot" your body safely.

I think the Beazy Board is meant to be used with a helper, but I can easily use it without help to move myself. This is useful where maneuvering space is tight, as when getting into a car. It holds a lot of weight without flexing; I feel stable and perfectly secure during the transfer.

I saved the shipping container and took it on a commercial airline with no additional checked baggage fee, as they considered it medical equipment. Technically, it probably isn't, but they took my word for it, as I also checked my wheelchair.

One minor concern: An instructional video would be EXTREMELY helpful. I had never used a transfer board, and it took some practice to learn. The written directions are vague and confusing for a novice.

This thing IS frightfully expensive, but it is durable, good quality, and wonderfully functional. I feel like it is a good value for the money. The mobility it has added to my life is priceless! And I have my very generous and handsome boyfriend to thank for getting it for me. Hugs!
