WOW! What a book. Dr. Colgan again shows that the future of medicine is in nutritional suplementation as prevention. Prevention rather than cure. This book explains why each supplement should be taken, and then explains a simple method of taking them every day. BEAT ARTHRITIS is not just for those with joint problems, it's a great book for everyone,

Michael Colgan writes in plain English. If everyone read his books and took his advice on board, very few would be suffering from painful disease such as arthritus.

I used this book to stop my mom's arthritis from getting worse. The author explains what each nutritional supplement does in your body. I appreciate this information because then you can tailor your supplement dosages to your condition. The book also covers diet to get rid of gout. A few shortcomings; (1) the author does not mention Vitamin D to prevent bone loss (you can get information from Dr. Mercola's website or the Vitamin D Council website) and (2) fluoride overdose (from tea and water) as a possible cause of joint pain.
