I discovered Tim Easton three years ago when I bought his fantastic album Porcupine with guitar master Kenny Vaughn. That is by far the album that I have listened to most the last couple of year. The new album Beat the Band is different and the musicianship maybe not as spectacular as on Porcupine but there are some really good songs on it.

I can't believe no one has reviewed this yet, simply because I love it. It's not a Tim album we've heard before, but there may be some mild similarities. There is alot more electricity and band interaction on this album and the songs get better with each listen. I hear some Porcupine sounds on it but overall it sounds like a fresh approach that went very well. Don't go off of the sound clips because I remember not being impressed with them but I bought it anyway because Tim is great. Don't expect a Tim album that you already love. He is growing and trying new things and I love that about any artist. Check out the 1966 album also it's solo acoustic Tim which is never a bad thing. Give Tim lots of love he deserves it.
