This performance of the Spencer Davis Group is from mid-1966. The performance is actually pretty good. Unless you saw them, who knew that Steve Winwood was such a great guitar player when he was only a post-adolescent 18-year-old? People are probably most familiar with his keyboard skills. Some good blues licks on one song. Spencer Davis plays some harmonica and sings on one cut. The rest is Stevie.

Unfortunately for most Americans, the big hits you're mostly looking for are not here. No "I'm A Man" or "Gimmie Some Loving", which came out a year later in 1967. "Keep On Running" is the most familiar cut, which I believe was actually a #1 hit in 1966.

So no docking for performance, or video & audio quality, which are OK considering the age of the film. Sound is mono and somewhat muddy, but acceptable. At least camera work/angles are better than some of the other videos in the series.

Gave it two stars almost solely for value. Why couldn't they combine it with another performance like a later SDG or Traffic if they played BBB?

Recommended mostly to SDG or Steve Winwood collectors/fanatics.
