Way back when they released an LP set with a photo book of the sessions - I missed it. Are they still available? It will be nice if they reissue this wonderful set. Maybe on its 50th Anniversary, if we're lucky.
Dude I sold my book for $50 bucks in 1982 and I have hated that mistake ever since. It WAS falling apart, but still. The guy I sold it to lost it when his apartment burned down. I heard a rumor once that when the first CD came out that it came with the book, but I do not know if there was any truth to that. It might have been the original book on display next to the new CD or something. Let's hope it comes back out again. And the movie too.
Those babies were released back in the first run of the LP in 1970 and in the UK and Canada and not the USA. Very hard to find an LP with the box and book and even harder to find it where it is not falling apart. Like Spiritual Architect says his was falling apart as was so many others. I found one on ebay a few years ago for $50 and many pages were loose and I am still not totally sure if all of them are even there. You really can't thumb thru the pages without a few more coming loose. One day when I am listening to my new remastered LIB I will just fumble thru the pages to see if I can get them back in order. If I remember the pages did not have numbers so it was hard to put them back in order when I first got it. Oh well maybe the 50th we will see something like that. I just hope I am around then...2020, wow that sounds weird.
I was hoping we were going to get at least a portion of that book with Let It be ...Naked. This is one of the aspects which made that release a missed opportunity...unless the "powers" are holding off waiting to re-issue it with a deluxe box set of the (hopefully eventual) DVD release of the movie. If not, the damn thing should just come out as a book unto itself...and hardcover with better binding than the flimsily made original.
It would be nice to see that book with a remastered vinyl should they ever decide to put out a new remastered vinyl. I'd buy that as long as the book is better quality then the 1970 version which of course fell apart very easy.
