CONCERT DVD A RIPOFF..DON'T BUY IT!!!,
This review is from: The Beatles - Live At Shea Stadium (DVD)
The quality of this DVD is so bad, it is obvious that someone is pirating this thing just to make a few bucks. This is NOT an official release by Apple Corp. It is a bootleg, and both looks and sounds like garbage. You cannot compare it to the Shea Stadium clips featured on The Beatles Anthology. Save your money folks...otherwise you get what you deserve...video mud.

Clarification - Shea Disc,
By
This review is from: The Beatles - Live At Shea Stadium (DVD)
Just to let everyone know who's a fab fan, the soundtrack for most of this concert was overdubbed by them 2 weeks later. They watched the movie and sang/played to a movie screen while they watched it. The sound levels were not audible due the screaming plus the amplification equipment they used (Vox) was not strong enough. They were at 2nd base on the field!
If you have a cd of this, which I do, you can tell, listen to the drumming, it's too clear on some tracks to be live. Some of it is but Ticket To Ride I can definitively say is not. Just wanted you to know, it's a great visual to have until someone does something more to try to enhance it.

The Beatles at Shea Stadium, historic show, poor copy.,

Even if you don't like The Beatles or are too young to even be aware of their impact, this is a mind shattering event, historically the most important concert event in rock, in that it created the 'stadium concert.' The staggering crowd reaction dwarfs anything before or since, how The Beatles were able to manage a show at all in light of the unprecedented hysteria is beyond explaination. Since then, fans all over the globe have waited patiently for a restored, remastered and Apple sanctioned DVD of the most incredible show The Beatles ever did. Although it's worth getting to see the show if you never have, this is not an Apple sanctioned release and compared to the real restored footage seen in Anthology, this barely rates a star. It's washed out color-wise and not really up to the standard of other bootleg releases. I personally own a boot of the show that is far and away better, sharper, better color saturation and not fluttering at the bottom of the picture as this one is. The beginning of the DVD even has enough nerve to claim that it is an Apple release, which it is not. This is also not a 'silver' sealed DVD, it's a DVD-R with a paper label, not silk screened. As if Apple would release such a shoddy product. We'll all have to wait for the real deal a bit longer, because this just isn't it.

BOOTLEG RUBBISH,

This dvd is a bootleg that ain't worth the powder to blow it to Hades. The makers of the DVD do not respect copyright laws and from the looks of the dvd they don't care about quality either. It's a dvd-r, by the way, and who want's to pay $25 for a copy? I am surprised AMAZON can't seem to get its act together in policing its own site.

Its an interesting look back. To me to watch the crowd react the way they did. They were four Elvis all in one group. The music was great. Photography fabulous. The Beatles sure knew how to rock -n- roll.

Interesting but not as crisp as the scenes in Anthology. The copy from film to DVD lost quality. Also has quick clips from the cow palace in San Francisco in very bad quality. But it is a must have for a Beatle fan

Great to see my favorite band doing some of my favorite songs using my favorite instruments of theirs again.
Film was complete (with Sounds Unlimited, King Curtis, Murray the K, etc.) Obviously dubbed from the TV film, but at least it's AVAILABLE in this form unlike any product of Apple Records, Ltd. (REAL Ltd.!!!...Where's "Let It Be" in DVD and the digitally remastered Fab catalog???) However, having 'Shea' in one's library is a definite PLUS!

As a lifelong Beatles fan I was delighted to find the DVD "The Beatles - Live At Shea Stadium". I had bits and pieces of this historic performance and had always wanted to have the full concert performance of the Beatles as I had seen this live when I was 10 years old on the ABC broadcast of this event. Never seeing the FAB 4 live in person myself, this was a real find to get the entire Beatles performance on DVD. I didn't know this was available until I saw it listed on Amazon!

A Must Have For Beatle Fans Everywhere!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Beatles - Live At Shea Stadium (DVD)
There have been three things I've been longing for as a Beatles fan to come out. Washington, D.C. DVD Check, Let It Be DVD Check, and Shea Stadium Concert DVD CHECK! This was a classic Beatles performance, not to forget two Beatle wives (Linda Eastman and Barbara Bach) were in attendence. I was disappointed that the Beatles Anthology only showed a short portion of it. With numbers such as "Baby's In Black," "Help!" and "Twist and Shout," all Beatles fans will not be disappointed with this performance. (...)
