Format: MP3 Music
The music covers a diverse range of styles, with a nice mix of male and female voices. Most of it could be classified as pop or rock, with jazz provided by Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald and a dash of pop-country from Bobbie Gentry and Anne Murray. I am not familiar with all the artists featured, but maybe I will be inspired one day to buy music by some of the artists.

Despite being credited to Beatrice Ardisson, this is actually a multi-artist compilation. If Beatrice selected the tracks, she chose well, although four songs (Here comes the sun, For no one, Rocky raccoon, Something) are each represented by two different versions. In some circumstances, I would object, but the versions are sufficiently different that it doesn`t matter. I would have preferred the two versions of Rocky Raccoon to be put one on each CD, but with 17 tracks separating them on CD 2, that`s a minor quibble. Note that if you play the two discs back-to-back, it's best to play CD 1 first unless you want to hear the two versions of Here comes the sun consecutively.

The final track of CD1 (Gaston's cover of When I'm sixty four) is omitted from the back cover listing, but appears in the booklet. Another oddity is that CD 1 is titled Yesterday (a song that actually appears near the end of CD 2) while CD 2 is titled Tomorrow never knows, a song that doesn't feature at all. Not that it matters, as the overall standard is extremely high.

All the comments are in French, but this is a French compilation aimed at French listeners, Even so, the song titles, album titles and most of the artist names are of necessity in English, a language that itself is a hybrid with a fair proportion of French words in it.

Released in 2002, this 2 disc CD set features all the classic songs made popular by the rock band, The Beatles. However, each song is performed by other famous musicians (not the Beatles themselves). With greats like Fiona Apple, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and more bringing the great compositions of The Beatles to life this 2 disc set is sure to thrill any Beatles music fan.

My Dad was a huge Beatles fan "back in the day" and he loved listening to this CD set. Not only does it contain all the songs he loved such as "Ticket To Ride", "I Am the Walrus" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" but it also features some of his other favorite musicians too. You get the best of both worlds with this awesome 2 disc compilation CD set. This would be thoroughly enjoyed by anyone who enjoys music of the 60's or anyone who is an avid Beatles fan.
