For years I have been waiting for someone to come out with a set of figurines of the early '60s Fab Four. I particularly wanted McFarlane to create them because they do such a good job on all of their action figures. This is not a realistic representation of the Beatles members (hurry up McFarlane), but is a great copy of the Beatles Saturday morning cartoon characters. I bought the whole foursome and received them today. The colors and expressions on the faces are excellent. Purchasing only one of the four wouldn't do the characters justice...you must get all four and set them together on their stage pieces...otherwise it's just not complete. They are a bit larger than I expected and the whole stage is almost a foot wide and characters stand nine inches tall including the stage. Looks great on my shelf! Now, "I feel fine!" The three standing characters have tiny pegs that are to be placed in their feet to anchor them on the stage. Make sure you don't throw the packaging away before finding the pegs taped in the corner. A couple of minor scuff marks, but hardly noticeable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Toys For a Subpar Cartoon Show, January 21, 2005

Bootleg videos and DVD's of the original Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoons can be bought at Beatlefests and various Comic Book Conventions. Upon watching them... at best, they are really dated, crude, and somewhat unwatchable(yet very nostalgic!) McFarlane Toys released the Beatles action figures based on the YELLOW SUBMARINE animated musical several years ago and those were excellent. Now McFarlane Toys has produced the Beatles action figures based on their Saturday Morning cartoon show. The toys are a great companion piece to the YELLOW SUBMARINE versions. To reiterate that the cartoons are not very good but the action figures serve to keep the spirit and nostalgia of the cartoons intact. For harcore Beatles fans, these are a must have. The "Ringo On Drums" is probably the best of the bunch (and it seems to be the one thats out of stock.)

The Beatles 1965 cartoon, yes, just like the 1968 movie "Yellow Submerine", both made by King Features.

This actually gets 4-5 stars from me, with durability being a issue (a little, not a lot).

This time, just like for the Yellow Submerine figures, Apple corp, said yes, and McFarlane obliged, or, the other way around, or something like that.

It looks just like the cartoon. The guitar looks cool, similar in looks, like Paul's Hofner Bass guitar. Comes with a stand, which is actually the stage.

Not sure if I'd recommend this for kids under 10. It's a collectors item, for the most part, but, kids can play with them, just be careful, its not real durable.

Will they know anything about it without the cartoons?

(Only bootlegs exist, so far).

Which makes you wonder, are the cartoons next to be released? if so, isn't the cart before the horse here?

Its a great toy regardless, you don't see these often,

and I doubt they'll be around forever.

Most Beatles fans will want this. Get your's now. And of course buy John, George and Ringo as well.

It'll be just like 1965, on Saturday morning, again.
