This guitar is perfect for Rockband and Beatles. It is NOT painful at all, if you are a normal sized to tall person. If you have short Oompa-Lumpa arms, then who knows. All of my family have had no issues including the kids.

This controller is great to use. It is quiet and very responsive when playing. I love it mainly because it is a replica of the real one John Lennon used, but it is still very comfortable.

Yeah, I wish this thing wasn't so damn expensive, but I'm a sucker for all things Beatles and I'm having such a blast with the Rock Band Beatles game that I needed to do it. And I'm not ashamed. VIVA LA BEATLES! VIVA LA JOHN LENNON!! Do it if you want. You probably can go with a cheaper controller, but if you're going to go all out and have a wild Beatles Karaoke night, you might as well go full-tilt and get the controllers. You should probably also get some Newcastles and some Beatles wigs, and women and turn it into an all night sex-a-thon.

I bought my Rickenbacker 325 on November 19th 2009 and had it for just over one year. I used it maybe 30-40 times and tonight, it stopped working on a consistant basis. Something loose inside as it is making a weird noise like a spring is loose on guitar. I restarted and replaced batteries. The upside of struming works fine but the downward strumming only works sometimes. I believe I just ate the money since I am sure that it only had at most a one year warranty. I only paid $50 bucks last year but now I see they are selling for $154.00. I wanted to get another one but I am not sure that I want to pay $100 more than I did one year ago. Ugh!

I purchased the Beatles Rock Band for a Christmas gift, and because my son-in-law is a big John Lennon fan, I ordered this guitar controller, as well. Unfortunately the "dongle" (never heard that word in my life until Christmas Day) is apparently defective, and I can't get a replacement as Amazon isn't carrying this product any longer.

However, the guitar looks fantastic, and the game - played with the other controllers - is tons of fun.

The guitars are beautiful. They are my husbands christmas gifts. He is going to love them. Thanks

If you are a Beatles nut as IU am, then having the "Lennon" guitar controller make it an even more fun experience to play "Beatles Rock Band"!

I love this guitar. It looks like the one John Lennon used with the Beatles. A must buy for any Beatles fan. I bought this guitar because I am a big fan of the Beatles: Rock Band. It plays great and has very few issues. I read a review of a person who experienced discomfort while using this guitar. I personally think the guitar is fain. The only issue for my is that the shape of the guitar makes it feel awkward at first. You just need to get used to it. if you have an old fender stratocaster guitar, keep it. After several hours of play the use of the Rickenbacker guitar can strain your arms (especially if you have small hands). However if you play for 2 or less hours straight you will be fine. Try the guitar and if you do not feel very comfortable using it, keep it; it is a great collector's item for a Beatles fan. Overall, I give the guitar 3.7 starts (although, the review will show 4 stars). It is a beautiful guitar, but the overall gameplay quality depends on your comfort level.

I'm a huge Beatles, Lennon, and Rickenbacker fan. But this guitar is flat-out uncomfortable and painful to use in Rock Band.

I'm talking about your strumming arm - the part of your forearm that contacts the edge of the guitar is just beat-up to no end while you're playing. There's no comfortable place to put your arm anywhere on the guitar while strumming. In stark contrast, the standard Rock Band Fender guitars always have a nice angled area that is perfectly designed for this issue.

I'm not pleased, and am planning on returning the guitar. For this much money, it has to feel good as well as play good. (And I will add that playing is perfect - spot on. No glitches or issues with the keys, the wireless reception, nothing. It's great)


One other note - I've heard from many other people online and in person that both the McCartney Bass and the Harrison Gretch have the same issue - painful strumming forearm syndrome (PSFS) "Puss-Fuss" is no laughing matter.
