3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not great either..., October 16, 2009

This review is from: Beatnick Dream (DVD)
I had higher hopes for this dvd. The blending of occult subject matter, male nudity and black & white photography sounded very intriguing and surely a must-have for my collection. And while it remains in the library, not something I'll be watching again soon. The short films are very low-budget and experimental, which makes it a keeper. But there's not a lot of substance to it and at times it appears as though the models are trying to figure out what to do, obviously getting little direction from the filmmaker. Not nearly as entertaining as Greenwood-Copper's "Exhibition" (a great dvd!), but not horrible either.
