Interesting pictures of Delhi from 1850s,
This review is from: Beato's Delhi 1857, 1997 (Hardcover)
The books has very neat pictures of Delhi. I was surprised to see a 1857 picture of the Laal Mandir (Jain Temple across the Red Fort). It brought a sense of nostalgia for Delhi.
I wish the book was published in a bigger paper size and had better picture quality. That's why i am giving 4 stars instead of 5. It definetely is a great collection book. |
