I bought this book for my two little nieces to go with the plush rabbit. What a darling book! Many collections of other books by Beatrix Potter. The rhymes and riddles were very clever, and reading the poems brough back many good memories of my grandmother reading to me! Great little book!

When looking for a set of Peter Rabbit books for my nephew, I found that there is a new version that has abandoned Miss Potter's drawings in favor of a flat lifeless rendition of the characters...how can this be? Who would want to alter the image of Peter we have grown up with? The details are important..and don't think children don't notice everything they see in them...they do! This set of "firsts" "A First Peter Rabbit Book" that introduces the characters, "Peter Rabbit A B C and 1 2 3" and "Nursery Rhyme Book" are excellent addtions to your library with watercolor illustrations by Beatrix Potter. A good investment!
