Great Zinc Release, July 1, 2004
This review is from: Beats By Design (Audio CD)
This is Zinc's 1st (and in my opinion) best full-length release, so far.
For those who don't know:
DJ Zinc, of course, is one of the DJ gems (and Pascal is as well) from DJ Hype's record label - True Playaz. Zinc has also gone on to create a subsiderary label called Bingo Beats.
But, back to the review.
This is a good album, and I still listen to it; even though I bought it about a year and a half ago.
My favorite track has to be "Disappear" with its great upright bass (as in the instrument) sample. It is almost hypnotizing.
Also, I would recommend buying this album, b/c it is one of the cheapest import albums that you can find.
I'll admit some of the songs are a little bit repetitive, but I believe that you will find this album to be a wise investment in your drum and bass library.

Take heed, June 11, 2000
This review is from: Beats By Design (Audio CD)
Using all the production precision you'd expect from a d&b master, Zinc throws in diamond hard beats and a diabolical bassline for a track that will excite the two-step massive as much as the breakbeat police. The urban underground has spoken. Take heed.

Extra-tight drum & bass., December 6, 2001
This review is from: Beats By Design (Audio CD)
Finally found what I've been looking for! Rocking d&b from beginning to end and touch of experimentation to keep you coming back for more... The tracks perfectly complement each other. I found myself putting a track on just to listen to the transition with the following track.
