Amazing first effort, February 10, 2007

Nice to see finally D.C. has grown beyond dischord! And Beau Tand is nicely positioned to lead the rally around a new more sophisticated city-sound while still keeping the D.I.Y. ethos alive. A most informed first effort, eponymous Beau Tand is not punk but the second coming of modpop and the vocal sound (i.e., Bowie, Weller). Amazing melodies, touching lyrics and pure listenability make this one of my most repeated plays of the new year. 'Hey Girl' and 'It's a Wonderful Thing' are favorites. Highly recommended!
