This audio CD has an old world flavor to it that will transport you to magic balls, hidden walls and just a little mischief. The pre-dominant theme on the CD is the Ballroom Waltz which is exquisitely rendered as a romantic, captivating, floating dance that begins with a single graceful violin and blossoms into a fully orchestrated pull at our heart strings. It is repeated, with some lovely alteration, and with even more romance, on the last track on the CD and proves to be the ultimate accompaniment for the kiss of a lifetime.
The Waltz theme appears often in the CD but each time with a different tempo, arrangement and instruments, so it evokes different feelings at every hearing. There are a few marches and ballad-like instrumentals on the CD that are engaging but I bought the CD on the strength of the Ballroom Waltz and I have absolutley no regrets. The entire CD is a joy to listen to, but the Waltz and the last track alone, were worth the price. |
