I saw a video clip of "The Kill" on TV and had to know more about this band and their music. After hearing the title song "A Beautiful Lie", I liken Jared Leto's voice to the male equivalent of a siren inviting unsuspecting mariners to dash themselves on the rocks. The versatility of his vocal range and musical expression is a skill I rarely find in most metal artists. 30 seconds music is edgy, haunting, melodic and passionate- and that's just in track 1. If you're into ear-pounding guitar riffs, tribal drums and screaming, you'd probably want to steer clear of this album. But if you like electronically- influenced music (even New Age music) and don't mind Metal, you'd appreciate this CD. I look forward to hearing more from 30 seconds; and hopefully they won't change their sound in their next project (unlike some bands who think success gives them carte blanche to do whatever and think their fans will still buy into it...<cough> Evanescence)

This cd is sooo amazing. It has a very unique sound that only 30 Seconds To Mars can attain. "The Kill" has some of the most strong and amazing vocal stylings by lead singer Jared Leto, yet he can soften the tone with such depth in "The Story". The title song "A Beautiful Lie" flows wonderfully. You can hear how passionate Jared, Shannon, Tomo and Matt are about their music from the first song to the last one. Every song on this cd could be a #1 hit. Its not only a must have for their fans, but for every music lover. One listen and you'll be hooked on 30 Seconds to Mars from here on out. Be prepared to be immersed in what I feel is the best cd around from now to eternity. It will leave you in total awe and wanting more!!

My favourite Thirty Seconds To Mars CD to date. Don't hesitate in purching, it's a cracker of a compilation!

I don't know what kind of numbnut actually called this cd boring, because it is PHENOMENAL!!!! I absolutely cannot stop listening to it!!! Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

This album was very boring, I don't know how this band got famous, it's so boring. Song "Modern Myth" was soft and so boring, it songs "Attack" and "From Yesterday" that I like. Don't get this album! I'll advice you not to get it!
