Strong Chapter, June 15, 2010

This release represents a strong chapter in the Pearls' story. While not quite as strong as the Use of Ashes (my personal favorite out of the whole discography) it is definitely in the ballpark. There are one or two "commercial" songs on this, but many are not (in my mind meaning more "creative") and a few represent some of his best writing ("Snow Queen" in particular is very haunting, very moving). While I feel that 3 or 4 Pearls/Tom Rapp releases are better than this, if you are a Pearls fan you will definitely not regret getting this one.
