Product Description

The Shooting Script of the new Russell Crowe movie - the true-life story of Nobel Prize winner John Forbes Nash Jr., a mathematical genius almost destroyed by paranoid schizophrenia Handsome and disconcertingly aloof, John Forbes Nash made a brilliant mathematical discovery early in his career and stood on the brink of international acclaim. But the hectic life he leads, working secretly for the Government, deciphering complex enemy code systems, turns out to be the delusions of advanced schizophrenia. Then begins a long and painful struggle with his demons, aided by the constancy of his wife, despite repeated rejection. Late in life he receives the Nobel prize - and is reaccepted into the academic community. Starring Oscar-winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, The Insider, LA Confidential), A Beautiful Mind is directed by Ron Howard, best-known for Apollo 13. Other roles are played by Ed Harris (Pollock, Apollo 13, the 'Controller' in The Truman Show), British actor Paul Bettany (A Knight's Tale) and Judd Hirsh (Independence Day). This new title in the NHB Shooting Scripts series includes the complete screenplay, an introduction by director Ron Howard, production notes, stills and the complete credits.
