Wow! This has become one of my favorite pieces of furniture in the Bachelor Pad. You got to pick this one up. It's a popular item amongst the fellas as well as my lady friends and will be sure to stimulate some interesting party talk for your next mixer. Personally speaking, I think that Neomie Lenoire takes the cake. And is that Stacey Dash?? Whoa. She deserves an 'honorable mention' along with Melido Prado (who is this diamond???). After thumbing through this work-of-art after like the 50th time, the small print finally caught my eye. Upon reading these personal dedications, Marc Baptiste's masterpiece took on an even more profound form.

This is an amazing book. Tastefully done. This book is more than just black nudity and erotica, it definitely portrays the African American Woman in an incredible state of ART. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Marc Baptiste's BEAUTIFUL capture's some of the most breathtaking, authentic bodies of women who are no less than goddess. I have given the book as a gift three times over and i am not going to stop with November birthdays! Rosario Dawson to N'Dambi to Lisa Raye(wow) to Rosario's mother (beautiful)-there is a sense of depth and self exuding from each photograph. When I first experiened it, I felt like to was a gift to me and mine from the Universe. It is an amazing, feeling piece of work.

The book have approximately 65 b/w images and 32 in color,if you are waiting stunning models don't buy this book, but if you want photographies of real women with humanity , buy it. A few photographies are in studio, the most of them are in locations (mainly houses) . There are some images of older women,big women,etc all real and beautiful women. All the photographies contain nudity. And of course the photography is great, except 5 or 7 photographies (that's my opinion).

These are some pretty good pic's of non-white women. Some are cluttered by artsy special effects (blurred focus and extreme close ups for example - yuk), but most are plain, easy photos of black ladies. A good nude need only show a woman for her own beauty and need not get all sick-headed artsy and ruin itself with "effects"; these do the job quiet well. There's variety and as the others have said, these are REAL women - don't buy it expecting a barrage of bubble-breasted blond Playboy playmates with black shoepolish smeared on. Lots are aesthetically beautiful; others are beautiful because they are women and not afraid of it.

I just got this book in the mail today and had to come back to write a review on it. This book is a must-have and it definitely brings out the best in the women of color it displays with a good range of women posing. Who would guess that a book of nudes would showcase inner beauty? Marc Baptiste accomplishes this fluidly all throughout this book. From Lisa Raye to Jenny Baptiste to 'Untitled' - all of these women display the richness in the variety of our women of color. This book is a must!

I think some reviewers here have missed the point.

This book is a tribute to the oldest ideals of femininity (women of color) and a counterpoint to the very narrow one we have now.

The women pictured here were absolutely stunning; not because of their flaws, nor because of their fine features, but because of how all of that together adds up to beautiful photographs of women.

Women here have cellulite, pubic hair, stretch marks, high breasts, and low, because yes, beautiful women have them.

From Hollywood stars, models, and musicians, to dancers, moms, and women with curves; they are all photographed with the same reverence for their beauty. And contrary to what's been said, though it is majority Black, Asian, Latina, and Native American women are pictured here as well.

The nudity is neither fetishist nor is it exploitive. In a culture all too happy to do both to women of color, this is REALLY refreshing.

It's a respectful honoring of the beauty of all women's bodies. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a counterpoint to the typical, modern, feminine, beauty ideal.

This book is tastefully done. It illuminates beauty in every walks of life, as life has many different challenges for all of us. Bravo, very well done....................

I just finished looking at each photograph in this book. I like all of the photos, but there are so many photos I truly love! I really loved seeing the photos of the mothers-to-be.

This collection shows the many shapes, sizes, and colors of the female body - women whose bodies are not always appreciated as the beautiful works of art that they are.

Beautiful, is the first collection I've seen of women of color nudes done in great artistic taste. It's a nice piece to collect as a coffee table book. Women are skinny, fat, average, young, older...It redefines the standards of beauty which I think is greatly needed in this new century.

This book features not only models (i.e. Beverly Johnson), but some ordinary women who are fat, skinny, short, and tall, and they are all beautiful. When they pose nude, most of the time it looks more natural than sexy, which goes to show that nakedness is a way of life and that everyone should be proud of their bodies, even the more big-boned women in the book. If you can't cop the book, at least read it once.
