About the Author
Jane Iwenofu is a writer living in Toronto, Canada. She derived her inspiration to write a children's story from her 5 year old daughter Amara who helped her to complete the Peacock's theme song featured on p.7 of the book. Before moving to Canada from Nigeria at the age of 10, young Jane would gather by moonlight along with several other children in the neigbourhood to listen to delightful and captivating stories which were often told by an elderly female local. In those days, story telling was a popular form of entertainment for young children as the kinds of television programs which youth in today's world now enjoy were simply not available then or acessible. It was during those early years that she developed a love for story telling time which today has evolved into a strong passion for writing, and the arts. It is her hope that through her literary works, she will re-ignite that same sense of mystery, magic and wonder in the minds of readers, both young and old.
