5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Fourth Doctor comedic romp, July 15, 2009
This review is from: The Beautiful People (Doctor Who: The Companion Chronicles, 1.4) (Audio CD)
The Doctor is craving a doughnut. Ironically the TARDIS deposits him and Romana at the Vita Novus Health Spa. The facility specialises in weight loss and boasts a 100 per cent success rate. The two Time Lords suspect that sounds just a little too good to be true.

I often use Doctor Who audios to help relieve the tedium of trudging on a treadmill. This light-hearted adventure, which is perfect for a gym setting, had me laughing out loud.

The story captures the affectionate exasperation Romana frequently displayed when confronted with the Doctor's more eccentric behaviour. Lalla Ward gives an excellent performance--slightly tongue in cheek, but never going over the top.

Highly recommended.
