"Beautiful People" is a real treasure. This is the kind of Christian music I always hoped someone would produce. It is spiritual music that actually meets us at our humanness. Too often Christian music can have an almost shallow feel to it because it seems to be distant from life's ups and downs over the long haul. Not "Beautiful People". It is deeply spiritual, while at the same time being very human.

Nor does "Beautiful People" have that all too common "Christian music" sound, (either cookie cutter commercial or copy cat rock). "Beautiful People" is musically interesting and a pleasure to listen to in its own right.

"Beautiful People" is not music one chooses to listen to just because it is Christian. It is music one chooses to listen to because it is great music and music that touches real places in our lives. Many of the songs would even appeal to those with no interest in Christian music. It is simply that good.

The only thing I did not care for on the CD were the comments and personal praying after "Never Alone Martin". The song itself is excellent, but the comments and prayer afterward, although heartfelt, and I'm sure appropriate in the right place, were, for me, distracting to the overall power and artistic elegance of the CD. I'm sure some though, will find this a very powerful and appropriate ending to the song. For those who may not, I would not let this minor point dissuade you from getting the CD. As a whole, it is superb.

This is a compilation of some of the best songs written by Jason. The spirit flows through him, bur it's not about him. His songs are insightful, emotional, humorous and take a hard look at "religiousity", see his web-site at jasonupton.com and listen to the "Lullaby for the Petrified Sacred Society" and you will see what I mean. It's on the Beautiful People DVD. Check out also "hailey's song" on Between the earth and sky. A great down to earth group of musicians. Listen well.

When I first heard Jason Upton on CD, I didn't like him at all.
After listening to him for a while, some of the songs just really strike a chord in my heart. I heard he is amazing Live.
His style may take some getting used to, but he is an amazing worshipper amd many of his songs show God's love as a Father.
I recommend this CD.

I have a hard time find other worship music that comes close to Upton's passion, intensity, and musical excellence, but here are few that I found that are right up there with him.

I heard the song "In Your Presence" on Jason Upton's website. (He has a radio station that you can access 24/7 which plays his music.) I loved this song and wanted to hear more of him. This album moved me so that I also purchased "FAITH" and several others.
Jason is my favorite worship leader.

Loved this CD. It's unique and deep. Kind of a Joe Cocker type. Highly Recommend!

We are so much more than what can be seen......Very beautiful music for meditation. The person who cuts my hair plays this CD and it helps me see myself in a different way....Bought this second hand through Amazon and was pleased with it.

I love this CD. It is in great condition and it is one of Jason Upton's best CDs to date. Thanks so much!

I have never heard another Christian band that is more annointed, and God inspired as these. You will not go wrong with any of their CD's. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! Just wait for the goose bumps!!
