This CD cpatures the BYU choir sound and every song is powerful. My favorite are "The Five Hebrew Love Songs" as well as an excellent arrangement of "Be Still My Soul". The choir then sings "God So Loved the World" which is a stellar and beautiful arrangement from Chilcott. Is a must have for anyone who enjoys listening to choral music.

I've been listening to this CD for about a month and I can't get enough of the BYU Concert Choir. Their voices are still young enough to have a hint of sweetness ~ but overall, this is an extremely mature sound. The harmonies are intricate and interesting, their dynamics are masterful, the song selection is wonderful ~ haunting sometimes, which I love. What a marvelous CD. I recommend it to anyone who loves choral music, but especially for those who appreciate something spiritual.

Enticing yet peaceful music. Well done by the choir. The range of emotion runs the full spectrum.

This is hands down, the finest recording of "Five Hebrew Love Songs," that I have come across. The tempi are just right, the dynamic beautifully interpreted, and the tone is gorgeous. I find that some choirs sing this off the breath, especially "Kala Kalla," but BYU is right on the money. If you're looking for a good recording of "Five Hebrew Love Songs," look no further.

As far as the rest of the CD, it's stunning. One highlight is "The Covert of Thy Wings," which is a very sensitive setting of the Psalms of David. Very well done.
