5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you look for in a Christian Rock alubm, July 19, 2003
By
Tommy Jones (Goodfellow AFB, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Beautiful World (Audio CD)
This is GS Megaphone's second major record label release. I have been following them now for about 7 years from their start in Hatfield, AR and they just keep getting better. This album is a fantastic follow up to their debut of Out of my Mind, which was noiminated for two dove awards. This album is sure to follow suit. From the first track of Reformation, Randy Shreve showcases his amazing drumming ability. The band has grown as a whole from their last project. Ben Shreve (Bass and Voclas) showcases his ever increasing talent on tracks such as Venom which is more reminiscent to the progressive rock band Dream Theater than most Christian rock. Daniel Rosas and Chris Freeman have also made their contributions to this new album. Their hard rocking but melodic chords give this album the perfect mix of crunch and melody. If you love hard rock with a straight to the point message of God's love, then this is a must own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Christian Rock CD I've ever heard, August 11, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Beautiful World (Audio CD)
If you have not heard this band than you are missing the cutting edge of Christian Rock. GS Megaphone is not only the best Christian Rock band I have ever listen to, they easily surpass the music the secular pop music machine produces. Beyond their musical abilities GSM writes lyrics that are not only deep but challenging. GSM is the Rich Mullins of this Christian Rock generation, honest, committed to Christ, and making great music.

4.0 out of 5 stars quality christian music, September 4, 2004
This review is from: Beautiful World (Audio CD)
I have christian bands like Kutless, Pillar, Skillet, 1000 ft. Krutch,... and this band was a pleasant surprise. They sound like christian godsmack, if it is ok to say that. The vocalist is incredible... better than Jon Sumrall from Kutless. His voice is unique and just beautiful. The guitarist has good talent and plays some pretty mean leads. The best songs are Venom(7) Personal Renaissance(6) and Sing till the Song Sings You(13). The Enemy in Me is also a great song. I recommend this cd to anyone who likes Kutless, or Skillet, or any Christian rock band. This band is very underrated, both in the Christian realm and the secular realm. Get this quality piece of music and listen and be drawn into the lyrics.
