Beautiful cover - but how flexible is it? This is a beautiful case, and I'm already looking for accessories for my soon-to-be delivered K3. I want to know if, with the hinge system, will it fold back like a paperback book? Anyone know?
I had the Kindle 2 version of this in bronze. Loved the look but definitely not flexible. This is not a cover that will fold back underneath. For that, I suggest the pebble grain Cole Haan cover which works beautifully and feels like glove leather or a fine book in the hand. Have the Amazon Kindle 3 cover (which I'm including with a Kindle as a gift) and it's quite stiff for now but will fold under and hold with the included elastic. For myself, I'm waiting for the Cole Haan blue pearl cover which should be elegant and should work.
I have this cover for my K2 in Ruby Sugar and like it so much I am considering buying again for my K3. It is a little stiff at first, but mine soon folded easily back with the same flexibility as my Cole Haan pebble grain cover in brown. I purchased the bronze one first and returned it, as it was so very stiff. The Ruby color was so tempting, so I tried it and it works wonderfully and was soon very flexible. (The bronze one is not patent leather - maybe thats what makes the difference? It is a little thicker than the pebble grain leather one, which actually feels good - the pebble grain is butter-soft and feels wonderful, but has virtually no padding. Hope this helps.
Good point. The only posted review for the K3 version motes that it no longer has the spine strip which is the only part that adds stability. Perhaps the woven one would now be better than the super soft pebble grain.
I've realized that a built-in light might be useful so have ordered the Amazon version.
