Book Description

Successful restaurateur Lucien Black’s blue-green eyes and unattainable attitude drive women wild. But his abandonment issues and criminal past have left him emotionally closed off. When a familiar face shows up for a job interview at his nightclub, the ache he has tried to forget tears at his heart—it’s the girl who once healed him…and then abandoned him.

Darcy MacBride still remembers Lucien’s delicate touch when they were both wildly in love teenagers. His gorgeous eyes had soothed her hurt after she’d been dumped off at the orphanage where Lucien lived. Darcy felt his jagged edges fit perfectly into her own, and she’d planned to spend the rest of her life with him—until a mysterious man warned her away. Now, fourteen years later, she’s ready to endure the torture of Lucien’s indifference and having him as her boss…just to be near him. But when it seems that they might finally take up where they left off, a devastating secret buried in their past threatens to tear them apart again.

L.A. Fiore’s story of smoldering love recaptures the tormented romance of Beautifully Damaged.

    5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars - Heartbreaking & Beautiful July 30, 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
What a crazy read this was......in the best possible way. Let me start by saying if you haven't read Beautifully Damaged, then you need to first. I thoroughly enjoyed this book but I haven't read Beautifully Damaged and if I had I think the book would have made more sense in certain parts. I would love to know the history with Trace & Ember, Dane & Lena, Chelsea, Todd and more.

Beautifully Forgotten is a beautiful story about Lucien and Darcey's second chance at love and let me tell you it is a suspenseful, dramatic and heartbreaking story. Don't be surprised if you find yourself crying......I did!! I fell in love with these two immediately and my heart broke for them because of the amount of pain they had had to endure in their lives. As the story unfolds you can't help but FEEL their pain. I was so happy when they reconnected and even though they definitely had their moments, I was overjoyed when everything fell into place for them.

LA Fiore definitely has a knack at keeping you guessing. There was so much going on in this book, it was a complete roller coaster ride, throwing you back and forwards and side to side throughout. You read both in the past and present tense and in multiple POV's and even though at times I felt a little confused I think it added to the overall feel of the book because that's exactly what the mystery they were trying to uncover was....confusing. Once you get to the end of this you'll be surprised....I certainly was!!

Like I've said already, I wish I would have read Beautifully Damaged first because Trace and Ember's story seems like a heartbreakingly beautiful one and if you have read Beautifully Damaged I think you will love how their story evolves here.

    5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING July 29, 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
This was one novel I was anxiously awaiting and let me tell you it did NOT DISAPPOINT !!!!

Lucian's story was told in L.A. Fiore's amazing writing style. So beautifully written that you felt every single emotion, characters portrayed so eloquently that they came alive right before your eyes. The second installment in the Beautifully Damaged Series was for me a highly emotional read and one that I could not put down. The genius of this novel was that even though it is the story of Lucian and Darcy, Ember and Trace from the previous novel were brought back and provided a chance for us to see where they are now and just how strong their love really is. You as the reader got to experience multiply POVs and the author did such an outstanding job that it was all seamless and perfection. Providing an even deeper and richer reading experience for us the reader.

Filled with drama, suspense, love, redemption, second chances, heartache and tears, you will be in for one emotional roller coaster reading about the ups and downs, twists and turns of these couples. As you start getting deeper and deeper into the story, you start to get the sense that a bigger plot is in the works. The build up with the alternating views gives us a chance to realize the complex nature of the situations of these amazing characters. Life was not easy for anyone of them, especially Lucian and Trace as well as Darcy. Realizing just how far they had come in their success and lives made the end result for them so much sweeter.

The road to a HEA for them was not a easy one. Lucian and Darcy, you knew were always made for each other, the chemistry between them undeniable even after fourteen years apart. Circumstances and jealous individuals stood in their way all those years ago, but the real test is now.

2.0 out of 5 stars Completely disappointed August 2, 2014
    By Tracy
    Format:Kindle Edition
This book was all over the place. I have never read a book where chapters where given to the "Hero's" enemies. It bounced from present to 14 years earlier, 15 years earlier, 16 years earlier, then on to Trace, then Ember than back to Lucien then to Darcy. It made no sense. You had no idea which POV you were reading since there was no indication given with the chapter. Although I loved Trace and Ember in BD, I did not like how chapters were from their POV in this book. There should have been another book for them and this book should have been Lucien and Darcy's story only. I was really looking forward to this book coming out and was completely disappointed. There have been very few times when I've just given up on a book, but this is one of those times. I started losing interest and skimming at 18% on my Kindle and that says a lot right there. The very beginning is good, but once Darcy goes to the 1st interview with Lucien, it was all downhill from there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fell in love with this series all over again! July 29, 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
I fell in love with this series all over again.

I read the Indie published version of Beautifully Damaged over a year ago and was swept away by the raw emotion that it brought out. So I was a little disappointed when the story was revised and republished. I didn't read the new one, so I was not expecting to fall in love with this one with the same intensity. But I did.

I have to admit I was a little confused at first and had to refresh my memory by peeking at the first book. But I quickly caught on, and really, it was just my own memory problem and not the author's writing. About 40% into the book I gave up my "hang up" about the first book being rewritten and fell hopelessly in love with Lucien and Darcy. They are just as wonderful as Trace and Ember are. Their history is a true love story. Not only is this a romance that defies the odds, but there is a puzzle running underneath that ties everyone together. There are a lot of secrets revealed, schemes uncovered, and some really happy moments mixed in with some "oh my god" moments that had me crying. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe this series. Passionate Alpha Men with strong willed, spine of steel women that balance and love them. Loved it, and even thought all the puzzle pieces are put in place on this one, I hope this isn't the last we see of either couple.

2.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't get into it
I found nothing wrong with year writing...the story line just didn't grab my attention. I wasn't feeling any real chemistry between Lucien and Darcey.

2.0 out of 5 stars could use some work
This is another one of the ones I gave up on. Related to another but not as interesting, at least not in the beginning where it didn't draw me in.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first
Her writing style has matured from her first book and it shows. This story line is very good and the characters three dimensional and believable.
