This is one of the few shows I watched every week as a kid.

I noticed that the quality is great on this DVD and you really can't tell how old the episodes are.
The IEMommy
It kept up the action from season 2 volume , just like season 1 volume's 1&2. thank you a lot.

This review is written by a totaly blind viewer. Yes, I used those words together in a sentence. So don't expect anything too terribly visual here. That also means I won't be discussing picture quality and all that technical stuff either. Bores me to tears anyway. Anyway, on with the contents of this set.

My mega boxset from Timelife arrived a day or so before I happened upon this preorder and am writing this review as of 8-14-2012, and it contains this exact same title, naturally. So here's what you'll be getting should you purchase this half season set from run of the mill DVD joints or amazon.com this November. You'll get the remaining 30 episodes that comprise the second half of season 1.

31. Calamity Kimberly
32. A Star is Born(First MMPR episode I ever saw back in May of 94 as a rerun of course, so this one holds a special place in my heart for getting me hooked.)

35. The Green Candle, Part II( I was and still am a big Tommy/Green/White ranger fan so I loved these.)

This set has the last 26 episodes of Season 2 and honestly it's like a breath of fresh air. In the first volume of Season 2 most of the episodes are tarnished with the fact that Jason. Trini, and Zack left the show and it's covered up with re-used footage, re-used audio, bad stand-ins, far away shots, different voice actors, and whatnot. But this season starts with the transfer to Rocky, Adam, and Aisha and it's nice to have power rangers back to normal for Season 2.

Before i'm attacked, I already own this set. How? well i bought the time life exclusive 40 disc dvd power rangers boxsets. so my season 1 vol 2 is the exact same volume being released in november.
I'm not here to talk about the show. I'm sure if your here, its because your fully aware of this amazing series. This volume concludes season 1, ending on 60 epiosdes. This volume has the remaining 3 dvds, each dvd contains 10 episodes. this set comes with closed captioning for those who have regular dvd players, NOT bluray players that play dvds, those will not display the captioning. No, there is no loss in picture quality. since this season had episodes that lasted no more than 19min, a few at 18min. thats why they are able to put so many episodes without losing video quality, but because of that, they had no space to put in the episode teaser and preview for the next ep onto these dvds. its a sad thing, but who knows, if enough people flood shout factory with emails to add in all those caps onto a separate dvd release, that would be so awesome and i would totally buy it!
once again, there are no bonus features on this volume. reason being, it would jack up the price. but think about it, 30 episodes for under 20 bux? c'mon! thats a huge bargain! most anime seasons are around 24-26 episodes and usually cost anywhere from 29.99 to 49.99 or heck, take a look at fullmetal alchemist brother hood collection part 1 and part 2, two different collections all part of the same season going for two completely different prices! and big prices at that, being that each collection is around 32 episodes. so this mmpr volume is a huge steal in price, please go preorder it!
if you really want the bonus special features.

So excited to finally see the old Power Ranger shows coming for Amazon Instant Video. Brings back so many memories! Can't wait until they are all out on DVD (MMPR S1-3 and Zeo)

Now if Amazon will allow you to purchase the shows individually for offline viewing and if they will fix seasons one and two. Season two is missing the very first episode The Mutiny Part 1 and Season one is missing the very first episode Day of the Dumpster too.
