In my spirit I knew I was denying the fullness of God's grace. I was having difficulty overcoming certain strongholds in my life, but this book helped me to take a real look at my way of doing things and helped me to focus on areas where God was leading me differently. It isn't God's will that the enemy keep us tied in such bondage.

One point that Joyce made that stays strong in my heart, 'for all the wrongs that people have done to you, No One BUT GOD can 'repay' you.' That person may truly be sorry, but NOTHING they can say or do will EVER make up for the injustice you suffered at their hand(s). And in the same respect, you can't make it up to someone that you have treated unjustly, either. Recompense (payback to both you and them) must come from God.

I enjoyed this book very much. It is a must have for my book collection! I'm sure you will feel the same way, too!

This is Meyer's Magnum Opus. It is one of the few books on Abuse on the market that actually focuses on a solution rather than the problem. I recommend this book highly to anyone who has suffered from systematic child abuse.

It amazes me that Joyce Meyers has used her horrible experiences to help others. She is an awesome testimony as to how God can use the bad things in your life for good.

This book taught me so much about, first of all, how to use the Bible. I will never read the Bible the same again, the Bible is now a tool I use to live my life. Secondly, she taught me how to get past my past.

I have bought this book for 2 friends! I highly recommend this book. Thank you Joyce and thank you God!!!!!

I was given this book and NIGHTMARES ECHO by Katlyn Stewart. I was a child of abuse, sexual abuse. The two books helped me to not only see what others like myself had lived through but how to learn to heal from the past and let go of the pain. This book will help anyone dealing with a haunting past to find thier way home again. I applaud this author

i worried this would only be about religion & how you just have to forgive & forget. Not so. Joyce's book is much, much more than i imagined. Very helpful in understanding and coming to a place of healing. reminds one of the continuing process & not to give up.

This isn't just 'something nice to read', it's an instructional manual plus tool box for healing. Anyone who has had any amount of abuse needs to read this book.

There is grace and there is mercy. As victims we begin to believe that we worthless and hopeless. Joyce Meyer's own story is a powerful testimony of how God can lift us up from the mirey pit and mold us into his image. And isn't the testimony that much more amazing when we've come from such a dark and wicked place where we had no choice? When you do choose to read this book, the devil will start shaking in his boots. Grab hold of an awesome victorious life. Be delivered and transformed! God has plans to prosper you! Prepare to walk through the fire! God is with you and you will not be burned! AMEN!

I must say to the respectful and honorable woman of God. That this book has caused me to open doors that I have been to fearful to open and see what was inside. When, I started reading your story. I cried and was so surprised that experiences of abuse and rape have common response and reaction that I thought was an isolated case because it was happening to me. I feel as though I am very fortunate. I bought Beauty From Ashes by Joyce Meyer and Nightmares Echo by Katlyn Stewart and want to tellt he world what powerful books these are. Not only are the books good, but the authors and the courage they possess in being able to write about the tragedies that happened to them.
Beauty From Ashes is a very spiritual look at the healing process. The courage, which I can't say enough about is astounding.

Because Ms. Meyer is a victim of sexual abuse, her approach to this subject is unique and personal. She is bold, honest, real, and encouraging. She discusses all the ways that one's life is affected by abuse, and how to overcome these handicaps. It amazed and insprired me to know that Ms. Meyers came from where I am now to become a strong woman of God who ministers to the heart through the Spirit.
