I bought this from Kmart a few months ago along with a few more made by the same company, I really thought this movie would be a bit more than fair, but it proved to be good actually. It's not disney as you know this but it is still good, so I recommend you buy this if you're looking for a cheaper version of Beauty and the Beast without all those songs that can end up getting annoying after a while.

Even though this movie isn't Disney it still is a decent version of the tale. The story is different than that of Disney's but the underlying basic tale is the same. This isn't a musical like the Disney, but i gave it 3 stars. If you have children they will probably like and you really can't beat that price shy of buying a used DVD somewhere.

Beauty and the Beast is a loveable movie with great characters and an interesting plot. The protagonist of this movie would probably be the clock, Cogsworth. The antagonist of this movie would definately be Mrs. Potts. THis movie is a great movie from chilren 3-80 yrs old. It's a great movie and wonderful to watch with the whole family. There's a villain in this movie, as in all Disney movies, ht though, is not the beast. Most villains in movies are ugly creatures that aren't very appealing, but this character is definately not ugly. He's the hunk in the village. So many women want to be Belle because Geston (the villain) really likes her and wants to marry her. Belle on the other hand isn't too sure. Belle's father goes off to a convention but gets lost on the way. Belle goes out to find her father who is trapped in a dungeon in the beast lair. She trader her father's place in the dungeon for her own. she immediately hates the beast and everything he put her and her father through. She does get used to many of the talking candles, clocks, drawers, tea pots, etc. She starts liking the Beast because she finds out that inside of that hard esterior of his he really has a warm heart.
