It's hard to not like Natalie Imbruglia. Although she will probably not go down in history as one of the premier vocalists of all time, her voice is deeply expressive, soft, and, without a doubt, beautiful. 'Beauty on the Fire' is definitely one of the most beautiful songs on the "White Lilies Island" album. Rhythmic, enchanting, and sensual, this song has rightfully been chosen as Natalie's third single from her sophomore disc (which has yet to garner any real attention in North America). 'Beauty' shows how much Natalie has grown as a singer and a lyricist since "Left of the Middle." As for the b-sides, they are exceptional as well. 'Cold Air' is enchanting, with a very light, uplifting quality created by a sweeping strings arrangement, with a delicately played piano to accompany it, and Natalie's lighter than 'air' vocals. 'Standing There' is similar to the album version of 'Wrong Impression' musically, with an uptempo, soft rock edge (which is well accompanied by an acoustic guitar arrangement) that makes this track great for the dance floor. Finally, the video deservingly ends this 4 track single. Shot in the Bahamas, Natalie looks more beautiful than ever in this intoxicating, steamy, highly seductive music video that brings even more 'beauty' to 'Beauty on the Fire.' Kudos to Nat on another job well done! Very satisfying and well worth the cash!

This is CD 02 of an UK 2-pack release of "Beauty on the Fire".

The title track is great and makes you feel free spirited as the song suggest you should throw all the bad things on the fire, just to get rid of them.

Track 02 is "Cold Air", a soft song which makes you feel inner peace. It's taken from mexican movie sounndtrack "Y tu mama tambien" and it is great.

Track 03 is a b-side, unreleased on "White Lilies Island" album. It is called "Standing There". I love this song and I really wish it were included on Nat's latest album. It's an uptempo song about the end of relationships, when people don't know what to say or how to express their real feelings to each other.

Track 04 is multimedia (CD-ROM) with the video for "Beauty on the Fire". This video is wonderful and shows natalie as a real diva. She is a great singer and is more beautiful than ever on the video. It's sunny, with happy people. Natalie is on the beach and dives deep to go to a kind of club under the sea, where she performs. Great video!

The artwork of this CD is amazing, based on the video of the title track. Beautiful cover and CD decorated with fish pictures.

This is surely a great release for those who appreciate pop music. Natalie Imbruglia is a great singer and never disappoints her fans!

A must have for any Natalie Imbruglia fan. I have collected all of her B-sides. It is easier to find the Beauty on the Fire (UK1) Cd single which includes only the B-Side 'Broken Thread', but this one Beauty on the Fire (UK2) Cd single is rare and a good find! it includes two B-sides 'Cold Air' and 'Standing There'.
