This review is from: In Beauty May I Walk: Words of Peace and Wisdom by Native American (Reflective Mini Book) (Hardcover)
I have three of these books so I can keep them everywhere I go. I love this little book more than all the rest, and want to live life as described in these pages. It is the poetry of prayer. Here is one of my favorite quotes from the book: What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the Sunset. ~ Crowfoot, a leader of the Blackfoot nation quote superimposed on the beautiful painting of the "Sierra Nevada in California," by Albert Bierstadt Sierra Nevada in California Art Poster Print by Albert Bierstadt, 36x26 In Beauty May I Walk: Words of Peace and Wisdom by Native Americans (Inspirational Giftbooks) by Helen Exley (Author) Note that "walk in beauty" is correctly translated as "peace, harmony or wholeness" in the Navajo language. |
