Many years ago, I entered my first pageant and was thrilled to be named 1st Runner Up. I would never have made it to that level so quickly without the fabulous training I received from Verna Slade, author of The Beauty Pageant Manual. For years, the only way to tap into Verna's vast knowledge of the pageant industry was through many hours of personal training. Now, everyone has the opportunity to benefit from her expertise. By implementing the tips and suggestions that Verna provides in her book, pageant contestants can achieve a higher level of success. I am living proof of that. There is also information that will help judges and emcees improve their techniques and elevate their skill levels.
