Good Beauty book...lots of info on skin, nail, and hair care. I dont have anything to compare it to..since this is the only beauty book I own. she takes you through the basics of a beauty routine and tells you what supplies to have on hand.

I read the Beauty Principal about 15 years ago, and it is a WONDERFUL book. I have different skin from Victoria(dark, black), but the tips she provided are applicable to all types of skin and natural hair. I learned a lot about applying makeup, skincare etc...

You can tone down the makeup a little (it is no longer the 80's) but the advice is extremely beneficial and a lot of the reasoning behind my own natural "beauty." Heh heh well, at least a few people think I am beautiful...Thanks Victoria!

I think the BP is a great book for a young woman or girl, and I'm buying a copy for my teenaged cousin! The only section I recall being missing is hair removal, but I am not aware of there being any other books which deal comprehensively w/ at-home hair removal for aesthetic purposes. But for pretty much everything else, I think the BP is a beauty "bible."

At any rate, if you want naturally beautiful skin and hair, and you'd like to know how to beautify yourself, and how to apply makeup skillfully...not to mention which tools to use, how to care for makeup and accentuate your features, buy the book!

I'm sure there's a fun value to the 80's pictures as well. Simply timeless, and IMO the advice is wonderful no matter the color or texture of skin you have.
