very sad that the characters I enjoyed in the first book didn't seem to be in this book.

So, this book does pick up where the first one leaves off...the first book that got one of my very rare five star reviews because it was fabulous and had two characters that were distinct in who they were, even while they were changing. In book one, Laurelyn was a character I actually liked and respected and Jack was an alpha male, sexy, mysterious and seductive. Not in this book.

Laurelyn, who spends a great deal of her time MOURNING the loss of her Aussie man that she turns into one of those evasive, contradictory, manipulative, typical females that I hate in most books.

Jack Henry, who MOURNS his loss of his American girl, while continuing to kick himself for not being honest with her sooner, sets out to find her, only to find her and do NOTHING about it. The same man who had no issue showing his claim on her and his jealously in the first book when they only had an "arrangement"...does nothing to prove to this girl she is what he wants, which was what caused her to leave in the first place.

He used to speak to her in a demanding, sexy manner, only to use words like "snatch?" Really? Jack Henry went from classy, debonair, sexy, mysterious, alpha man to John Belushi in Animal House. That is not the man Laurelyn fell in love with, and that sure wasn't the man we as readers were given in book one. He already knew that Laurelyn loved him, she made that clear in her letter that he was the love of her life, so why did he think he needed to be someone else for her? Was it because she has been surrounded by crude rockers in his absence?

SOOOOOOOO disappointed! LOVED the first one! Jack Henry was one of those Hero's I would put on the "which hero would you pick as favorite Hero" list. Alpha all the way, handsome, knows what he wants, gets it, treats the hero like we all dream of being treated, yet had vulnerabilty. You always knew deep down he loved Lauralyn. (The scene where she packs up after the Audrey incidence and he comes home to find her leaving and immediately calls his Mom to fix it. Holds her all night. His relief when she shows up on the beach and he has to sit down because of the trembeling in his legs. I'm getting light headed just typing this). And Now? Gone. He turned into some immature, unsure, what do I do, I so messed this up, sexed up, juvenille type of character. (Snatch, Really? So not Jack Henry!) Some people have commented about the rain scene. While I did like it, that's so not Jack Henry. That so would not have been his reaction. And Lauralyn? Same thing, she went from a sweet lovabale character to someone I really didn't like. Its like the characters had the same name but the author got confused about which sequeal she was writing and got the personalities mixed up with some YA novel she's writing at the same time. Other's have commented about the sex and I must as well. I LOVE hot sex in my books, BUT, it has to fit into the role of the characters. The sex in book 1 was right on target, hot sex with great chemistry and GREAT diaglogue. This sex was like reading a Penthouse letters, which is ok for penthouse letter, but this is a romance with what used to be 2 GREAT characters. Didn't fit. The language was so off character I literally winced (Quim?) The new nickname? Didn't fit. (What happened to My American Girl. So sweet).Read more ›

I have waited so long for this book and it was so worth it. I never was the girl that could see surrendering my career for a man but this book puts it all in perspective. L as Jack Henry calls her did t loose anything she gained more than she ever knew. Her mother was a trip in a half I wanted to smack her at times but I loved how L stood up to her. Dont get me wrong she had some weak moments and Addison her ride or die chick put things into perspective. What can I say about Jack Henry? I love the way he loves L and even though he is stubborn at times his love is endless for her. And the sex scenes off the chart. Whew! I needed a fan. We get a happily ever after in this book but Georgia leaves room for more. This was definitely a romance in every sense of the word. Georgia has provided a wonderful sequel. There are a lot of twists I didnt expect such as Blake but it added more to the story. This book had me crying out of love, frustration then laughing and swooning the next. Ladies this is a must read.

I loved the first book and like everyone else I could not wait for the second. I constantly checked for updates and impatiently waited for the book to be available.

I am surprised there are not more critical reviews for this book. I would have much preferred to spend a buck on this book and four on the first. I am normally pleased with one loong book that is whole and complete and the fact that this book has two parts and is over is very upsetting, especially considering that the Author is thinking about making a novella to see what life is like "after the wedding bells are silenced", which means more money spent when she could have finished in book two

I was totally disappointed and let down. It seems in the wake of "Fifty Shades of Grey" all books have to have a million lengthy erotic scenes. I used my Kindle Paper White with a small font and still found myself reading and skipping 3+ pages of erotic scenes. Why cant a love story be a love story without so much intercourse? I expected more story but it seemed like as soon as a erotic scene finished it jumped right back into another. I expected more story and character building.
