The material on this is undeniably soft, and you don't notice the wires much. But I've found as I use it that it doesn't heat evenly, and it seems like some areas don't heat at all sometimes. It's beautiful and warm, but overall I wouldn't say it's much warmer than a throw on its own would be, even on high.

Bought this for my Mother. She loves it and I loved giving her something she enjoys using every evening while watching T.V. She gets all toasty warm and drifts off to sleep. It's perfect for sitting around.

This is a GREAT throw for those chilly times that you are trying to cuddle up on the couch and just a regular old blannket just wont cut it. The 3 temp. settings let you get the the right amount of warmth for the level of chilliness! It's nice and lightweight and the heating wires running through it are almost unnoticeable at first and wonce it heats up you forget they are even there. It gives even heat that covers every inch of the blanket, so no spots that are either too hot or too cold. My roommate keeps taking it and I'm left huddling on the couch with just a fleece blanket that doesn't warm me up. So we're going to order her her very one so I can reclaim me warming snuggly throw!!! It's mine! :-)

I previously had a warmer (Sunbeam) and this one is better by far! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay warm.

Does not heat, returning item.
