Love Rollercoaster by Red Hot Chili Peppers!!!,
By Nolan Ryan "David L." (CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Okay, well I bought Beavis and Butthead the movie the other day and I heard it- love rollercoater by Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is rare because I've been whanting this song ever sinse I saw the video from the song a LONG time ago. Like I was saying, it's rare because itunes doesn't have this song to download and I wanted to put this on my ipod. This cd has "Love Rollercoaster" by Red Hot Chili peppers. So if you've been looking for this song and can't find it anywhere, this cd has it.

Why's everyone gotta hate?,

O.K. why's everyone panning this albumn. It's a pretty awesome collection of songs. Of course everyone and his/her mother has heard Love Rollercoaster by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But there are lots of other good songs on this CD. The White Zombie song is pretty rocking. It's got a slow driving beat to it that is infectious (interestingly enough, it was also the intro music to an old Playstation game called Wipeout XL). Personally I think the crown jewel of this albumn is the remake of I Wanna Riot that Rancid did with Stubborn All Stars. That song is sooooooo sweet. It may anger some hardcore punkers and diehard, pureist Rancid fans, but all I have to say to those type of people is get over yourself and try to have an open mind. Other songs worthy of mention are Gone Shootin' by AC/DC, Pimpin' Ain't Ez by Madd Head, and Ain't Nobody by LL Cool J. White Trash by Southern Culture on the Skids is also fun and pretty cool, and of course you can't forget the Theme song by Isaac Hayes and (wonder of wonders) Lesbian Seagull by Enelbert Humperdinck. The songs by Ozzy and No Doubt aren't that great (i was very dissapointed by Ozzy), and the Butthole Surfers cater to a very specific taste (I personally enjoyed this song). All in all, however, it was an albumn WELL worth the money. There are good songs from almost every genre of music, which suits me because I listen to any and all types. If you like variety, you can't go wrong with this albumn.

FLY AWAY LESBIAN SEAGULL!,

This review is from: Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Oh yeah; as if the movie wasn't enough without there being a killer soundtrack too? Beavis and Butthead were the most important thing on TV in the nineties; what happened to them? Anyway everybody went to see this movie like the first day it came out, then went and rocked out to the PISSAH soundtrack. Its cool to see that you can still buy this new as opposed to 1993's BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD EXPERIENCE which is now only in the USED bin (get it anyway, its even better than this).... You get CHILI PEPPERS: LOVE ROLLERCOASTER, a great song, only available here, OZZYS WALK ON WATER is wicked cool, WHITE ZOMBIE, thats right WHITE as in not ROB. I WANNA RIOT is an awesomely awesome ska track by RANCID and some friends. Theres early NO DOUBT on here, BUTTHOLE SURFERS (remember them?) and AC/DC which should sell you right there because AC/DC, they RULE they RULE. Oh yeah and less we not forget LESBIAN SEAGULL an epic ballad that brings me hope and strength everyday! I miss the empire that was BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD. Where's the rock now?

not quite everything I was expecting,
This review is from: Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
In all honesty I got the CD back in the day for Ozzy's song. The whole album is great and all, but the song that Ozzy did was completely different on the CD and I was hoping for the same one from the movie.

Great Cd , Amazon shipped my merchandise in excellent condition unlike other merchindise ive received have been damaged but that's no problem, The songs are great except Ozzy Osbournes song of Walk On Water, if you are looking for the demo version this cd does not have it, I don't buy cds that much anymore because i use Itunes to get my songs, Other people are saying that most of the songs on this cd are stupid, But i don't care i ignore all those bad reviews, i bought it so i can have some beavis and butthead music in my ipod, Great Cd for when you're with your friend or somebody that likes Beavis and Butthead.

Oddly Ecclectic, Actually Very Good,
This review is from: Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
This cd includes many genres of music. A lot of reviewers are down on this cd, saying "I only bought it for one song." If you buy a cd and only expect to like one song, that's probably what you'll get.
If you're a lover of all different types of music, you'll really like this cd. Every song on here is 4 1/2 - 5 stars on its own, and oddly enough, the flow of the cd from one song to the next doesn't diminish because of the different genres. Isaac Hayes starts with "Two Cool Guys," the Beavis and Butthead theme, with a Shaft-like sound. "Love Rollercoaster" was the big song off of this soundtrack, and deservingly so, it is the best song on here. "Ain't Nobody" might be the most overloooked of LL Cool J's singles. This came out around the time "Mr. Smith," arguably his last solid effort, came out, and the song is as stronger than anything that cd. "Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks, and Cannibal Girls," by White Zombie, "I Wanna Riot," by the Stubborn All Stars & Rancid, and "Walk on Water" by Ozzy are all MUST HAVE songs for any fan of these artists. "Snakes," shows No Doubt before they turned pop-heavy. Madd Head, an rapper who never put anything out before or after this track, contributed a track "Pimp'n Ain't EZ," which is the song that compelled me to buy this cd years ago. The song is a lot of fun, I think anyone into rap/hip hop would like it a lot. Its still my personal favorite. The Butthole Surfers and Southern Culture on the Skids are two groups at different fringes of rock music, and their inclusions, "The Lord is a Monkey," and "White Trash," are good example of their larger body of work for anyone who doesn't know them. "Lesbian Seagull" by Engelbert Humperdink ends the cd. While this isn't a song you will want to listen to regularly, it is one you won't want to miss out on having. I had a teacher named Mrs Sequin, and for years we'd sing "Fly Lesbian Sequin" to her... Maybe I'm biased, but to me the song is classic!

Soundtrack revisited,
By Jake's Demise (Tyler, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
The soundtrack did not have the same punch that I remembered from seeing the movie in the theater or numerous times on home video. However, for me, the opening song by Issac Hayes and the next by the Red Hot Chile Peppers were worth the price. There is often a difference between the way a song is used in a movie and the way it is released on the soundtrack, and this one is no exception. Instead of dividing the releases between the orchestral soundtrack and the song soundtrack, I really would like to see a single release with all of the music from a movie. Often times rather than rewatch a movie, I will listen to the soundtrack which gives me a great experience without having to rewatch a film for the hundredth time. I often enjoy getting the soundtrack of a movie more than the dvd. I have more movie soundtracks in my collection than any other type of music. Beavis and Butthead still rule and I want to see them back on the big screen.

I have been looking for this cd for quite awhile so I was glad to finally find it and purchase it. The only song I did not care for was Snakes by No Doubt. But the rest was great.
