5.0 out of 5 stars Play golf with Beavis and Butt-Head. And get even with Todd!, September 18, 2006

I downloaded the "Bunghole in One" demo from the Internet, and decided I had to get this pc game. Yeah, I know it's an old pc game featuring Beavis and Butt-Head before their show ended. But being a new B and B fan, I had to get it. I purchased it used, yet in good condition, and at a very low price!

I'm quite surprised by some of the negative reviews this game received on other websites. I found it a lot of fun! The 18 holes are unique interactive settings based on the series (i.e. Butt-Head's living room and couch; Mr. Van Driessen's 'Dream Land' complete with lava lamps; Burger World; Mr. Anderson's poolside, etc.) Each hole has its own musical score and sound effects.

The 18th hole, featuring Beavis' alter-ego Cornholio, has quite an imaginative setting! It's a miniature Candyland with candies, soda, coffee and/or C(r)appuccino, coffee cups and, yes, Cornholio's beloved TP. The musical score for this setting makes me think of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; especially when Beavis becomes Cornholio following his sugar fix.

The funky music at the game's end credits is danceable. I find myself moving my head to the beat. In addition, I like to imagine seeing Beavis and Butt-Head doing their famous rump-shaking dance moves (like in the music video segments of their show) to the music!

My only reservation is why must Hole 10 take place in a cemetery?! That's a pretty grim setting for a fun game. Thankfully when Beavis and Butt-Head play, they make amusing comments which help lift the gloomy atmosphere.

Otherwise, it's fun! I individually 'assisted' Beavis and Butt-Head (well, Butt-Head, first; then Beavis) in helping them make the holes. Some of the holes were challenging, and it took a while for me to figure out how to putt the ball into the holes. But I made sure to help MTV's, and America's, beloved dum-dums win!

Best of all, I had a ball making Todd the bully mess up! I deliberately dragged out each game, making Todd putt the ball either hard and/or wide, backwards, then back to the starting point. I did not control his moves to make the game easy. I enabled Beavis and Butt-Head to finish their games in a fair amount of time. For Todd, I stretched the game to roughly about an hour, making Todd screw up his moves; then go back to the starting point. When he'd finally get the ball into the hole (with no assistance on MY part), he would complain 'What the hell's goin' on here?!" I would break up in laughter. For fans who care about Beavis and Butt-Head, here's your chance to give Todd a taste of his own medicine! Now, YOU can kick Todd's butt, instead, by frustrating his moves here in this game!

Over the weekend, I'll play it again with the remaining decent characters, Mr. Van Driessen, Mr. Anderson and Principal McVicker. I'll help them to win, along with Beavis and Butt-Head, again. Todd is clearly on his own.

And.. uh...oh, yeah! Beavis and Butt-Head look rather stylish (or 'pretty cool!') in 1930's golf wear!

3.0 out of 5 stars I've played a lot of bad PC games, and this is one of the worst, June 2, 2007

This was probably okay as a golf game, even if it was pretty darn hard. But what made it so unfun was its particular style. A golf game doesn't match with Beavis and Butthead. It just doesn't work. In this game we don't see them sitting on the couch or causing mischief of any kind, so we wonder why they're even there. Sure, they'll make a few funny comments every so often, but after a round or two, we start hearing the same stuff over and over. A small voice library in a game that uses a lot of comments just cannot be good. You're much better off with this: [...]
