The Beazley lists of Athenian black-figure and red-figure vases by painters, groups and classes have long been the basis for studies in Greek art history. This new edition, more than double the size of the previous one, brings up to date the bibliographical references to illustrations of vases listed in Beazley's ABV, ARV2, and Paralipomena, adding references to 1987. The Addenda also includes additional vases with Kalos names, and vases with potter or painter signatures.
