The Fartz, from Seattle, were banned from most venues for the damage caused by their overenthusiastic fans after the pummeling of the fast, furious 20 minute sets played by the band. This is a compilation release of their entire output from the band's career in the eighties. Higly politicized lyrics, pounding drums, machine-gun guitar and bass provide a look at Seattle's scene long before the Grunge phenomenon. Band members Blaine (later the singer for the Accused), Steve, Tom, Paul Solger (who replaced Tommy) and Loud dish up a sonic assault with guest Duff McKagen (later of Guns and Roses) on a few tracks. Essential punk! (okay, I'm a little biased, I was a good friend of the band, but it really is fine)

Well, all I can say is that this CD has stayed at the top of my pile for nearly a year now. This band is what punk was before bands like Blink 182 and new found glory completey destroyed what punk stands for.

The lyrics are unbelievebly poetic compared to all punk band, but at the same time they make sense and speak out. The music is just the old hardcore riffs you can't get enough of. When you combine them with Blaines vocals, you get the sense of what music is supposed to sound like.

Although it takes a lengthy amount of time to get to your house, it is well worth the wait. (If you live in PC, Orions has a copy of it) So start doing something worthwhile in your life and by this CD
