This is a witty, common sense book on parenting that everyone should read. It speaks to Aunts, Uncles, Sisters, Brothers and friends as well as parents and grandparents. It's a quick read with great quotes and there's a website that personally answers any questions you have regarding children of any age. ABSOLUTELY 'MUST HAVE' ITEM

"I felt so much better after reading this book! With wonderful quotes from real parents, figures from history, and insightful authors, Because Kids Don't Come With Manuals gives a realistic but comforting look at the "coulds" and "shoulds" of parenting from toddler-time to the land of teens. I kept reading quotes out loud to my husband, and making ah-ha connections about experiences we've had with our three children, now 17, 15 and 12. This is a great book of common sense for about-to-be parents as well as those who've been doing their best for years. We can all use some pats on the back as well as new ideas.

Here is a terrific "manual" for any parent, young or old with any amount of children, young or older. This is chock full of practical observation and grass roots viewpoints. Ms. Nocera has a firm grip on parenting. Her book sites real life experiences and challenges from dealing with difficult classmates and difficult parents of classmates, unsolicited advice, unrealistic teachers who assess your child without knowing them and much more. She clearly has a talent for pinpointing an issue and follows with positive options to consider. Overall, a great little handbook well worth holding onto.

This book was a quick reference guide full of practical and easily implementable lessons and methods to have a better relationship with your kids. A must for parents!
