This book is a heart-warming account of life and times at a wildlife rehabilitation center. Cindi 's stories are touching and bring us closer to the animals she cares for each day. Interlaced with great humor and facts, I reccommend this book for everyone.

that love. Told in her own unique, personal

to be enjoyed simply "Because They
Matter". It's about wildlife rehabilitation at
the personal level. Read it!!

I purchased this on the advice of my daughter-in-law who has an afinity for animals, and whose sister had given her this book as a young child. Then, she ended up working for a short time for Cindy Traisi in San Diego as an adult. It is a very warm, interesting, and certainly educational read regarding the wildlife shelters and rehabilitation available for our planet cohabitants!

Cindy Traisi is an expert story teller, who shares her work as a wildlife rescue person at the Fund for Animals Wildlife Center in Southern California. She draws her inspiration from the wild animals which come through the center and beautifully captures their personality and will to live. Her stories will lift your heart at one moment and break it in the next. Many animals are saved by Cindy, her husband and their caring staff, but too many die after being injured in a world made convenient for humans and not wild animals. Read it yourself, read it to your kids, but please read it and know that in doing so you are helping support the work of this caring author. You will be glad you did!
