First I met that album in a blog with 'For you' track. And then I began to figure out Sharon Van Etten -in interviews, video clips... So first I purchased album as mp3. After that, I lay down my bed and listened to all album from the beginning. It reminded me a girl who lives in town where I live as a foreign student. So I decided to buy it to keep it, or if I saw that girl again and I met, may be simply I'd share it with her before going to my country for holiday.

It is impossible for me to write something here that would capture her art. For lovers of beautiful music, tragic love, and/or glorious failure, it cuts right through to where your soul would be if such things existed. You have the Internet. Use it wisely.

On a trip to NY a while ago, a friend brought me to the back room of a small Brooklyn venue and showed me this amazingly beautiful artist. Her melodies and lyrics stick with me, especially on tracks like "It's Not Like" and "Keep." It's great to have a more well-mastered recording than the home versions I've been listening to (and still quite enjoying.)

Sharon's music is amazing. She's soulful and simple. This is great music to listen to by yourself if you're feeling a little lonely.

Sharon used to work at a cafe I frequented. She was always very kind and sweet. So I think her music represents her niceness very well. Good luck Sharon and stay lovely!

We saw her at a nice small venue and it was amazing. It's very emotional. I was afraid the recording wouldn't have the same drive; it does. For singer/songwriter folks, this is gold.

Ms. Van Etten is a gifted and soulful folk singer and songwriter. I especially like the haunting "Much More than That." She has a bright and unlimited future.
