I really enjoyed the first installment of the Wainwright Legacy series. Having been familiar with Jordan from Man of Fate. I really thought that his summer fling with Natasha would work out. But introducing Azzia Fleming, I can see that they made a much better couple. The book was a good fast read, great catching up with the "Best Man" series characters and their SO's. The chemistry between the two was great. I like books with strong female characters. My only problem with this story (and it is really a personal one) I really love epilogues and this didn't have one so it left me hanging as to what happen with the court case. I'm sure Ms. Alers will revisit it in the next installment, but I don't want to wait. Good Job!

I just read the last page of this story and had to write a review. I loved it. This is the writing from Rochelle Alers that I love so much. I was drawn to Jordan's character from the very beginning of the story. He is an alpha male that goes for what he wants in a way that let's you know he is serious but with a tenderness that endears you to him. Aziza is the perfect match for him. I like that she maintains her independence while not playing games like "hard to get" with Jordan. I was not sure if I was going to like Jordan's family but they grew on me. I like how they were central to the story but did not dominate it. The story moved at a great pace and with enough suspense to keep me interested. The chemistry between the two is evident by the dialogue and love scenes. I love this couple and Jordahn's friends. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I havent read a whole lot of her books as others have the Hideaway, best man or signature bride series so it didnt feel like the same storyline as someone suggested. I had read a review about it being watered down but i beg to differ. When i read a book i tend to want a background and details and she did that (only drawback was she tended to repeat things she had already mentioned which was unnecesary but that can be overlooked) someone also mentioned they were too formal as in saying mother instead of mama etc. well you have to remember this is an upper class high society family and those pple are formal and have a proper way of speaking so that aspect was exactly what i would expect, hood cheesy maybe.
Having said all that i loved Jordan and Zee, she was such a strong personality and wasnt intimidated by Jordans family at all. She was middle class but was not about to let anyone make her think she wasnt worthy. Way to go. Loved this book i would say read it. I took me a short while maybe less than a day to read. couldnt put it down. I look forward to reading her other books, not the hideaway series , too many for me to start but maybe the best man series. I have my go to writers and maybe i might add her to my list. The first book of Ms Alers I read was 'Hideaway'. It remains my favorite. But what I most love about her writing is the strong bond of family in all of her wonderful storytelling. I just finished reading 'Because Of You', and like all of Ms. Alers MASTERPIECES, I didn't want it to end, and I plan on reading it again. I especially liked the hints that were dropped. A great read and I'd highly recommend it, and all of Ms. Alers blessed skills. EXCELLENT literature is penned by this authoress.

Once again Ms Alers has written another part of a sequel that makes me happy!

Rochelle Alers is one of the best writers and I have all her books (as hard as it was to find most of them before they were reprinted)and I have never ever been disappointed in her work.

I loved the book. I enjoy when an author picks up the lives of interesting characters from previous novels. Jordan was a very intriguing character and I can't wait to read about the other people involved with him and the rest of his family.

We first meet Jordan Wainwright in the Best Man Series. If you read those books, and the online short story, I know you're asking, "Didn't he already have his own story?" Yes he did but due to a few unforeseen situations, he is available again.

Jordan is a member of one of New York's wealthiest and most powerful families. This sexy high profile attorney is known for helping the less fortunate even if it means going against his grandfather. Because of this, he is loved in Harlem. But Jordan has a secret that could change how people view him.

When Jordan meets Aziza at a New Years Eve Party, he agrees to help her with a sexual harassment case. Their instant attraction and close working relationship catapult the two attorneys into a passionate loving romance. Just when everything is going smoothly, a real estate mogul who knows the secret attempts to use Jordan and Aziza's relationship to get revenge. Jordan comes out swinging to save his relationship and his family.

This book is a good read. Rochelle Alers does a wonderful job integrating the characters from the Best Man and Bridal Series into this book. This is an excellent start to The Wainwright Legacy Series and I look forward to reading every book.

A fun read and interesting read. Give one a close look into couples especially from different backgrounds,education and of privilege. I will leave it at that.
For sure is worth reading

I enjoyed this book - loved the connection of folks from other series. I liked Jordan but I wasn't wild about Aziza. I felt she needed some warmth. Overall I liked the story, but once I finished the book, I went back about 30 pages to see if I somehow had missed the resolution to Aziza's case - I hadn't and that drove me a little crazy so, I hope she addresses that somewhere in the next installment in this series.

Wonderful and insightful read.

Jordan Wainright has made some changes in his life. He is no longer a corporate shark lawyer working up to eighty hours a week. Oh he still works hard but his priorities have change. He has joined a law firm where the work they do matters more on a human level and he has more time to play. He has become a man who knows what he wants and will fight to attain it.

Aziza Fleming , is beautiful, smart and a lawyer who needs help with a personal lawsuit. Who is she advise to call on, none other than Jordan. She has been bitten and is definitely twice shy about men.

So the questions are can you mix business and pleasure and if someone has been badly burned in a relationship to give love another chance?

The story draws you in and you become emotionally invested as these two explore the possibilities. The secondary characters give flavor in the background. Some of them, you love others you are waiting for their comeuppance.

I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.

Even though this story was complete in and of itself I can hardly wait to get more acquainted with the rest of this family in this ongoing series.
