Please note that this is one novel presented in serial format. Each 'part' consists of two hefty chapters. In all, they will tell Ian and Francesca's steamy love story. I had such a fun time writing this romance, and I hope you as the reader can sense that in the words.

I found the story-line pretty interesting, the male lead intrigued me especially with his being a fencer - and the description of him being so physically powerful was titillating. I like Francesca as well and happy that the story is written in 3rd person so that the reader is able to see the inner workings of all the characters. BUT, I was surprised to find the story was only 2 chapters long. My fault, I guess, for not paying attention and I don't mind a teaser which I thought this was. Imagine my surprise when I returned to Amazon to purchase the next series only to learn that this entire story is broken down into several series per every two or three chapters! Well, the buck stops here! No thank you! The story isn't original enough for me to pay $16 to 18 for all the pieces via an electronic read. I've read the "50 Shades" trilogy (which I enjoyed), I've read "Beautiful Disaster" (it was a disaster but not beautiful) and I've read "Bared to You" (another trilogy which I haven't decided if I want to read book two). This book will end the same way as those, or as all erotic romance novels do, the difference is the middle part and how the characters make it to the end, whom I happen to like, I really do! I want to see how Ian and Francesca make it to the end but not piecemeal.

If they (the author & publisher) decide to compile the story into one fantastic novel, or a decent triology (which, quite frankly, I'm beginning to tire of triologies), then perhaps I will read it. Otherwise, I'm moving on to authors who finish up their stories in one good solid book!

** At first I gave the book a two star rating because of how the entire story is split up into mini stories at $1.99 each but decided the two stars didn't give enough credit to the author's creative ability to tell the story, create the scenes and flesh out the characters. I couldn't give it more than three because the author and publisher should be made aware of how disappointing (and disgusting) it is to have this book butchered up and dispensed to readers in such a fashion. **

This serialization fad is absurd, in my opinion. I sure hope it is halted in it's tracks or I may have to give up my Kindle and go back to dead-tree books. All it did was pi** me off that I would be paying close to $20 to follow this story to conclusion. It wasn't even good enough to make me consider buying more chapters. Ridiculous!

I usually enjoy Beth Kery's books. I've been looking forward to something new from her. This serialized novel is a real disappointment.

The new trend to release in small increments is annoying, frustrating and is a quick way to lose my book buying dollars.

I want to become involved in a story. I want to stay up late to finish a story because I am invested in the characters and their situation. I don't want to read two chapters, wait a week and read two more. A week later, I have moved on to something else and don't want to have to remember...oh it's time for the next two chapters.

I would have been willing to pay the full price of all 8 parts if they had been offered as a complete novel. But buying them at $1.99 a pop for 8 weeks is not for me.

Please, Ms. Kery, don't do this to your readers!!

Think I will re-read Wicked Burn instead.
